The Battle of Moores Creek took place during the American Revolutionary War. It was a battle that lasted only a few minutes between Patriot and Loyalist forces. Taking place at Moores Creek Bridge, it was a Patriot victory. Within two months of its victory, North Carolina became the first colony to vote for independence from Britain.
