Katmai National Park

Location: Southern Alaska

This park is renowned for its volcanic landscape, which includes the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes, an area filled with ash flow from the 1912 eruption of Novarupta. Katmai is famous for its large population of brown bears, especially around Brooks Falls, where bears can be seen catching salmon. In addition to bears, the park is home to moose, wolves, and a variety of marine wildlife. It's also a popular destination for fishing, particularly for salmon and trout.
