This park is famous for its towering trees, some of which are among the tallest in the Eastern United States. There is a 2.4-mile boardwalk loop that allows visitors to explore the park and see its unique ecosystem up close. The park preserves the largest tract of old growth bottomland hardwood forest left in the United States.
