Isle Royale National Park

Isle Royale is an island located in Lake Superior. It is also the largest island there, spanning about 45 miles.  Isle Royale is famous for its long-term study of wolves and moose, which has been ongoing since 1958. Due to the many shipwrecks in the surrounding waters, Isle Royale is a popular destination for scuba diving. In 2020, Isle Royale was designated as an International Dark Sky Park, recognizing its low light pollution and commitment to preserving the natural night sky.
